SITE DESCRIPTION
Macon Community Hospital is a twenty-five bed Critical Access Hospital serving the people of
Macon and surrounding counties. A member of the American Hospital Association, the
Tennessee Hospital Association, and accredited by DNV Healthcare, Inc., MCH continually
strives to exceed expectations and to consistently dedicate our efforts and services to providing
patients with the quality of healthcare they deserve from their hometown hospital.
During the past several years, Macon Community Hospital has expanded to meet the ongoing
health care needs of the community. With a growing team of providers, procurement of new
technology, and expansion of our facilities, including our newly renovated and state-of-the-art
Emergency Department and our new Sleep Lab, our patients not only benefit from the quality
and scope of services available at much larger hospitals, but also receive the personal attention
and small-town hospitality that makes them feel at home.

Lafayette is a town in Tennessee with a population of 5,458. Lafayette is in Macon County.

tend to be conservative. The public schools in Lafayette are above average. Lafayette is located
at the crossroads of Tennessee Routes 10 and 52. Route 52 is the main thoroughfare in the city,
connecting with Interstate 65 approximately 35 miles away, near Portland. Other secondary
state highways include Tennessee State Route 261 and Tennessee State Route 262.
Sneed Boulevard is used as a bypass that connects Route 52 to the Lafayette Industrial Park,
which is located in the northern section of the city.
