Concord Medical Group is a physician-owned and operated organization with a reputation built on the highest level of customer service and quality for our partners. Dr. Kyle Sheets created Concord in 2001 to meet the needs of rural Emergency Departments in the West Texas area and as our services have expanded, we have maintained our focus of doing whatever it takes to build long term relationships.

Board Chair, Founder

Kyle Sheets, M.D. created Concord Medical Group in 2001 to meet the needs of rural hospitals in the west Texas area. As principal owner and Board Chair of Concord Medical Group, Dr. Sheets is involved and guides the organization in every aspect of its operations including his continual practice of medicine at facilities with which it partners.

He served on the National Physicians Advisory Council for President George W. Bush and is currently appointed by Texas Governor Greg Abbot as a member of the Texas Council on Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke. Additionally, he is an acting medical preceptor for students from the University of Houston Health Science Center, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and The University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston; and previously a member on the University of Texas Medical Branch Alumni Board. Dr. Sheets is also Founder/Chairman of the Board for Physicians Aiding Physicians Abroad (PAPA), a mission-focused relief effort to Africa and Central America.

Dr. Sheets earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas, and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine at Galveston. He completed his family medicine residency at the Via Christi Family Practice Residency in Wichita, Kansas. Dr. Sheets was also nationally recognized as the 2017 recipient of the Humanitarian Award by the American Academy of Family Physicians for his humanitarian efforts around the globe.

Ashlie Boazman

Chief Executive Officer

Ashlie Boazman serves as Concord Medical Group’s Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Concord in 2012, Ashlie worked as a clinic administrator for eight years. She has helped lead the organization to great success working closely with Dr. Sheets, to ensure that the Concord team is focused on excellent service. Ashlie works directly with our partnering hospitals to make sure their wants and needs are always met with unmatched levels of responsiveness and care.

Ashlie studied Healthcare Administration at Wayland Baptist University, and now lives in Lubbock, Texas with her husband Josh and their two daughters.

Steve Kearney

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Steve Kearney has been involved with successful entrepreneurially-driven companies over the course of his career.  He has been Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Concord Medical Group since 2016.  Concord is Steve’s third Emergency Medicine Practice Management Company.  He served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Practice Support Resources, LLC, an Emergency Medicine practice management company, executing a sale of the company, a successful exit for majority shareholders.  Earlier in his career, Steve was with Coastal Healthcare Group for six years, taking it public and serving as Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer.  Immediately prior to joining Concord, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Presbyterian Communities & Services, a progressive not-for-profit in Senior Living / Senior Care, where he closed a $96.5 million financing combining a $59.5 million private placement of public bonds and $37 million bank debt.  In his career, Steve has been instrumental in developing and improving accounting, financial reporting, and financial planning & analysis functions in companies seeking higher levels of performance.  He has executed private & public equity & debt financing transactions, and several M&A transactions.  Steve was Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer & Controller of Assisted Living Concepts, Inc., a public company.  In addition, Steve has experience with early stage, venture capital-backed companies as President & COO of International Radiology Group, LLC, a radiology physician practice management company, and as SVP, Chief Financial Officer of Clareos, Inc., an information technology company.

Steve started his career with ten years at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was a Senior Manager focused on middle market companies. Steve received his BSBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Steve is an Active licensed CPA.

Jeff Schwartz, M.D., FACEP

Executive Vice President of Clinical Operations and Chief Clinical Officer

Jeffrey A. Schwartz, MD, FACEP, is Concord Medical Group’s Executive Vice President of Clinical Operations and Chief Clinical Officer. Dr. Schwartz previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Schumacher Clinical Partners and ECI Healthcare Partners. As an expert in emergency department operations, Dr. Schwartz has worked with hospitals around the country helping them to improve their operational efficiency.

Dr. Schwartz received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Northwestern University. He earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati and completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of Illinois. He is board-certified in emergency medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Prior to joining Concord Medical Group, Dr. Schwartz was President of Health Navigator, Inc. bringing his extensive clinical, management and patient-care insights to reach Health Navigator’s goal of capturing, organizing, and presenting a better, more efficient eHealth encounter. Dr. Schwartz was a consultant for Kurzweil Applied Intelligence, creator of multiple artificial intelligence and speech recognition technologies and co-founder of Treatment Scores, software designed to quantify the efficacy behind medical treatments using evidence-based medicine. He has published research in emergency medicine forums, including The Annals of Emergency Medicine and The American Journal of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Schwartz also lectures and leads discussions on the topic of “Paradigms in Emergency Medicine” as it applies to the many changes facing this specialty, while also hosting seminars on topics including customer service, physician accountability, negotiation skills, new medical technology and the use of electronic medical records.

Landon Sheets

President & Chief Strategy Officer

As Concord Medical Group’s President & Chief Strategy Officer, Landon Sheets aids in making key decisions and creating company strategy alongside the other members of the executive team. Landon takes the lead on designing and implementing business operations as well as working with employees to encourage maximum performance. Landon is focused on establishing policies and procedures that promote company culture and vision.

Landon is the founder of Freestone Ministries, an organization that is committed to the pursuit of biblical manhood. He is also heavily involved in Physicians Aiding Physicians Abroad and other ministries. Landon has a passion for the outdoors, and with the help of his wife Whitney, can be often found taking their five children hiking, camping, or on other adventures.
